Falcone's is the best Italian food in Oak Island .This is always our first stop whenever we visit the Island . Their soups are some of the best I have ever had . My wife and I both had the Squash Soup and it was fabulous as it was thick and flavorful . I normally get the Lasagna which is the best , but that night I had the chefs salad which was loaded with cheeses ( including Buffalo mozzarella ) and Italian meats . If you love Blue Cheese dressing Falcone's is to die for . My wife had two slices of pizza that were excellent . Lunch or dinner this is the place to go for Italian food ( and lots of it ) at the beach . Bravo Falcones
We three Musketeers, tried Falcones Italian Restaurant for Lunch last week. The Italian Cheesesteak was fantastic! It was so good my 89 year old Father-in-Law wanted to move in with his Italian Cheesesteak. All we heard was "Oh, ah, and OMG this is a so good!" I started out with their Broccoli Rabe with Sausage which was sensually moist while it tingled my taste buds for my appetizer. I paired with their Spellbound Petite Syrah which worked very well together. However, next time I will try their Banfi Col di Sasso Sangiovese-Cabernet which may pair even better. My entree which was extra large Pizza we all split which had an exceptional flavor, was cooked to perfection but no, I did not want to walk it down the Aisle with it! Lol Our third Musketeer, had the Chicken Genoese which she felt was very good and she is a diner with a very discerning palate who only eats what pleases her, so believe me it was very good. Our service was good, pleasant, and very respectful but our Server was new and learning so he needed some help which Mr. Falcone (Owner) was only to happy to patiently provide. The Restaurant is located in a larger corner section of a shopping center with a stylish American Italian look and feel which was relaxing. We all recommend your visiting Falcones because if you miss it, you will deny yourself, Family, and/or friends a great meal. Enjoy
This is an excellent Italian restaurant, with pizza's that are the best! My only advice is to make it a pickup order. Eating there, while the food is great, the service is terrible in the dining room. Tried lunch and dinner and both times it took an hour to get our pizza. The waitress was a train wreck. Disorganized, forgetful, slow, etc. And always check your bill carefully. We had a charge for 18.99 that we didn't get. As I said, get your food to go.
